Skyway Dachshund Rescue was founded out of a deep love for the dachshund breed and a commitment to ensuring every dog has a safe, loving home. Based in St. Petersburg, Florida, we operate entirely through a dedicated network of volunteer foster families across the state.
Every dog in our program receives a full veterinary evaluation, necessary medical treatment, and a warm foster home while we search for the perfect forever family. We believe matching the right dog to the right home is just as important as the rescue itself.
We accept owner surrenders, pull from shelters, and take in strays — doing whatever it takes to keep dachshunds out of harm's way.

We are committed to providing humane, compassionate care for every dachshund in our program. Through education, community outreach, and responsible adoption practices, we work to reduce the number of homeless dogs in Florida.
